Hi,

I'm trying to install Tuning Wizard for Postgre 8.4.

I've created an enterprisedb.com account and be able to log in onto your site. But if I try to use my account details during the installation process, I always get the following error msg:

"Error in calling web service. Please check the internet connection and try again."

System: Windows 7 64bit
Firewall: Windows firewall off, basic router firewall on

It would be great, if somebody can help...

Chris

Hello,

Thats strange.. Can you send us the install log file.. (It will be either install-tuningwizard.log or since the installation never completes bitrock_installer[_<some number>].log" ). You can mask the password if any found in the log before posting.

Hello,

The temp directory usually gets flushed following a system restart/shutdown. So might be the logfile also gets deleted, Please run the installer again and check for logfile.

Hello,

Same kind of problem for me.

I have already a old version of Tuning Wizard installed ( v.1.2). When i tried to start Tuning Wizard, I have an error message: "Error accessing WebService! Make sure that you are connected to the network. If you are connected to the internet, please check the proxy settings. Please visit http//forums.enterprisedb.com for further assistance."

So, I tried to install new version 1.3-2. And, after entering mail account adress and password, I have an other error message : "Error in clling web service. Please check the internet connection and try again."

Internet connection is ok ( I typing the post on). No proxy. Firewall off during test.

OS : Windows server 2003 standard X64 Edition SP2
architec. : AMD Opteron Quad-Core
RAM : 2 GB

Is there any problem with X64 OS ?

regards,

Jeremy
